Back to school is a bitch but not when you are an Ostrich
September is a bummer, I think I need a gin.
What a fantastic summer! Alex and I have been busy entertaining the children as have many other parents, from the bombarding of the back to school aisles and the savagery of finding the correct school uniform that schools seem to think are readily available and never run out of stock. Going to town is like battling through a crowd of hyenas at lunchtime, everybody is running around eating up all the good deals they can get.
Finally though, life is going back to normal as the school holidays are over and the autumnal season is upon us, meaning its time to return our focus to the business, with new ideas, designs and festive preparations for the months to come. We have some of our most anticipated events of this year coming up, where you can both purchase our products as well as meet us.
We will be attending The Great Food and Drink show on the 22nd September where we will have a pop-up shop. This is the perfect opportunity to come and meet the two of us and see our products in person. We will be there for both days of the weekend, so look out for our booth full of animals (of course I’m talking about the products, not us).
We have also just become members of Lets Buy British, which is a huge step for us. We will be opening a shop up with them very soon and are incredibly proud to supply 100% British products within our brand.
We have also recently heard of Wolf and Badgers new venture, and are incredibly excited for the launch of their new store in Kings Cross in late October this season.
I’ve been creating a new design, different from what you have seen up to this point. We wanted to branch into something new that I love to paint and that I hope you will enjoy too. I love colour and painting artwork for my own home, interior design inspiring a lot of interests. It’s this that lead me to combine the two.
You can keep updated with us and our progress on all our social media sites, especially Instagram where you can get all the behind the scenes conversations and occasionally just some anecdotal fun. We love to keep in touch with our customers and anybody who is interested in women in business, so feel free to comment, like and share. We have lots of exciting plans for the coming months, so if you’re interested in joining our journey, our social media is where to find us. We wish everybody good luck with the back to school antics and a very happy autumnal and festive season ahead.
